David Riccardi

David Riccardi, 49, of Bayonne passed away Monday October 9, 2017. Dave was an accomplished chef, an outstanding softball and pool player, and dabbled in soccer and basketball well into his 40's. A graduate of Marist High School (1985) and Johnson & Wales (1989), Dave set his mark on the Food and Hospitality Industry at Millennium in New York City, then out to Phoenix, Atlantic City before his time in Vermont. Selfless Dave then came home to care for “Mr & Mrs Ric” as they fought their illnesses. Dave was instrumental in making their last days comfortable and dignified. Dave was a member of the Shamrock Society Bayonne and the Knights of Columbus Council #371 Bayonne. He clearly met the “service for others” mantra. Most important, Dave was a gentleman: a Man you could count on.Dave is predeceased by his parents Diana (Crotty) and Robert C. Riccardi and his sister Robin Riccardi. Surviving are the love of his life Peggy McGarvey, his brother Jim Riccardi and his wife Rita, his nephews Brendan, Sean and Daniel Riccardi, The McGarvey Family,  many uncles, aunts and cousins and countless friends.Visitation will be Thursday 5:00-9:00 pm at Sweeney Funeral Home Bayonne.
