Glen T Jessen

Glen Thomas Jessen, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away Saturday July 2, 2016.  Glen is the beloved son of the late John and Sonia Jessen. Dear husband of Leah (Caiola) and loving father of Chloe, “the love of his life”.   Glen was predeceased by his brothers Charles (Camille Calcaterra), John ( Beth Carroll), and his sister Carole Nethercott ( Raymond).   Glen is survived by his sister Ava Finnerty and her husband Joseph and his brother Chris.  In addition, he was the son-in-law of Thomas and Adrienne Caiola and brother-in-law of Thomas and Anne (Mullen).  Glen is also survived by a many of nieces and nephews.

Glen was a graduate of Bayonne High School and became a NJ licensed Master Plumber specializing in residential, commercial and industrial plumbing and heating.   He owned and operated his own plumbing business, Jessen Plumbing & Heating Inc.

A true Pisces, Glen had sea water in his veins.   He was an avid fisherman, boat owner and a more than capable captain having taken his test for Captain.  For sure Glen was most at home on the water.

“Fisherman’s Prayer”

God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day.

And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray

When in the Lord’s safe landing net, I am peacefully asleep

Then by God’s mercy may I be judged

As a fisher of men and good enough to keep.

Private funeral services were held cremation following.  Arrangements by Sweeney Funeral Home Bayonne

So sorry Leah and Chloe on Glen's passing. I'll always remember all the good times at the Elco. I just saw him not long ago. This was a real shock! Leah if you need anything let me know. He will be sadly missed. Wally & Judy Latko
