Robert R. (Bob) Regan
, 82, of Bayonne, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Born in Jersey City, Bob lived in Bayonne since 1978. Bob was an Electrician and owner of Evergreen Electrical Construction Company. He proudly served in the US Army. Bob was an active parishioner at St. Henry’s Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #371, both of Bayonne. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Whittaker) Regan. Dear father of Robert & his wife Deborah Regan, William and his fiancée Kathy Massuto, Cynthia & her husband Peter Zonneveld, and the late Karen Thomas, stepfather of Barbara Ann Bottomly, Andrew, Mark, and Michele Wallentine. Brother of the late Thomas and Joseph Regan. Cherished grandfather of Paul, Robbie, Lisa, Sarah, Alex, Kaylin, Erin, and his extended family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Also survived by his loyal companion “Jumper.” Bob enjoyed gardening, boating, vacationing, his cigars, and most of all, spending time with his friends and family. Bob was well loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Sweeney Funeral Home Bayonne from 4:00­­-8:00 PM. Funeral Mass Friday September 29, 2017 at St. Henry’s Church Bayonne 10:45 AM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Red Cross-Hurricane Relief.
